About Pool: 8 Ball Mania
Pool: 8 Ball Mania is classic eight-ball pool with realistic ball physics. Play against a computer opponent or against a friend, and use the aiming help to line up your shots with more precision.
Standard eight-ball rules apply. Your group, solids or stripes, depends on the first ball you pot, and the black ball must wait until last. Knowing where the cue ball will stop is what separates a good player from a lucky one.
How to play
- Aim the cue, then hit the cue ball.
- Pot a coloured ball to claim your group: solids or stripes.
- Keep potting your own group, and be careful not to pot your opponent's balls.
- When your group is cleared, pot the black 8 ball to win.
These are the usual rules. If the game shows you something different on screen, follow the game.
Tips
- Think about where the cue ball will stop, not just the ball you are aiming at.
- Softer shots are often more accurate than hard ones.
- Use the aiming help to judge the angle, then adjust for the pocket.
- If you have no good shot, leave the cue ball somewhere awkward for your opponent.
