Keepy Uppy

Keep the football in the air with one finger. Tap the ball, land perfect touches, catch the gold stars and beat the wind.

About Keepy Uppy

Keepy Uppy is a football juggling game made for Lmodire. It is the challenge every player has tried in the garden or on the street: how many touches can you make before the ball hits the ground? Here you do it with one finger, one tap at a time, and a single round lasts anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes.

It starts gently, so anyone can get a few touches in straight away. The higher your score climbs, the faster the ball drops and the more exact your touch has to be. Wind arrives at 15 points and pushes the ball across the pitch, and gold stars appear in the air for bonus points. It is a good game for a short break, and sending your score to a friend makes for an easy challenge.

How to play

  1. Press Play, then tap the ball to kick it up. Taps that miss the ball do not count against you, so you can try again straight away.
  2. Where you touch the ball matters. Tap its left side and it flies right. Tap its right side and it flies left.
  3. A normal touch scores 1 point. Tap close to the middle of the ball for a Perfect, which scores 2 and sends the ball up with almost no drift.
  4. Steer the ball through a gold star to collect 3 bonus points. Stars fade away after a few seconds, so go for them only when it is safe.
  5. Watch the wind arrow at the top of the pitch. From 15 points, gusts push the ball to one side.
  6. The round ends when the ball touches the ground. On a computer, you can also press the Space bar to kick when the ball is low.

Tips

  • Aim for the middle of the ball. Perfect touches score double and keep the ball away from the side walls.
  • Tap a little ahead of where the ball is falling. As it speeds up, the ball will have moved on by the time your finger lands.
  • Do not panic if the ball drifts. It bounces off the side walls, so a ball near the edge will often come back to you.
  • When there is wind, tap the side the wind is pushing towards. That sends the ball back into the gust and keeps it near the centre.
  • Leave a star if it is far away. Three points are never worth a dropped ball when you are on a long run.
