Goose Game Multiplayer

Race to the final square past geese, wells, prisons and skulls. A childhood classic revived online.

About Goose Game Multiplayer

Goose Game Multiplayer brings back one of Europe's oldest board games. The Game of the Goose began in Italy, with the earliest known mention in 1480, and it spread across the continent, where versions are still sold today.

It is a spiral race to the final square, and the squares are the fun part. Geese and bridges push you forward, while the maze, the well, the prison and the skull throw you off course. This version also keeps a famous quirk: roll a 9 on your first turn and you win on the spot, because of where the geese sit.

How to play

  1. Players start at the beginning of the spiral track.
  2. Press the dice button and move forward along the track.
  3. Land on a goose or a bridge and you move again by the same amount.
  4. The house square keeps you there for three turns, and the maze sends you back to square 39.
  5. The well and the prison trap you until another player lands there and rescues you.
  6. The skull square sends you all the way back to square 1.
  7. Reach the final square before the other players to win.

These are the usual rules. If the game shows you something different on screen, follow the game.

Tips

  • As with most race games, the dice do the work, so enjoy the chaos.
  • Remember the first-turn rule: a roll of 9 wins the game straight away.
  • In a two-player game, beware of the well and the prison. If one player is in each, nobody can be rescued and the game is over.
  • Play with a friend who remembers the board game. Half the fun is the arguments about who was unlucky.
