Snake and Ladders Multiplayer

Roll, climb and slide on the classic 100-square board against the computer, a friend or online.

About Snake and Ladders Multiplayer

Snake and Ladders Multiplayer brings the childhood favourite online, on the classic 100-square board. Play the computer, share one device with a friend, or go online. In this version, rolling a 6 gives you an extra roll.

The game began in ancient India as Moksha Patam, where ladders stood for virtues and snakes for vices, and it reached England in the 1890s. It runs entirely on dice, which makes it one of the fairest games you can play with children: a six-year-old has the same chance as an adult.

How to play

  1. All players start off the board, before square 1.
  2. Press the dice button and move your piece forward by the number you roll. A 6 earns you an extra roll.
  3. Land at the bottom of a ladder and you climb to the top.
  4. Land on a snake's head and you slide down to its tail.
  5. The first player to reach square 100 wins.

These are the usual rules. If the game shows you something different on screen, follow the game.

Tips

  • There is no strategy to the moves, so enjoy the swings. The lead can change right up to the last roll.
  • Share one device for a family game, with no account needed.
  • It works well as a warm-up with younger players before moving to Ludo.
